Description
Wire mesh mist eliminators (mesh
pads) typically comprise a pad of knitted wire (mesh) supported on
both sides by a framework (weld mesh or grid).
They
function as mist eliminators by the action of impingement of the
liquid droplets onto the wire surface, subsequently allowing the droplets
to coalesce and disengage from the wire surface, under the effects
of gravity.
Mesh
pads can be utilised in any configuration inhorizontal and vertical
separators,and
when correctly designed, dependant on design parameters, offer high
collection efficiency, low installed cost and a low
pressure-drop.
Standard designs of mesh pads are
**0mm (4"), **0 mm (6") or **0 mm (8") thick, with the mesh
manufactured to densities typically between *0 and **0
Kg/m3. The grids on either side of the
mesh are typically *5 mm (1") each in depth.
Zeta-pdm Ltdand our alliance partners, take a
more detailed approach to the design of such equipment and as such
we now offer a wide variety of materials and “layered” designs
combining the best attributes of two or more mesh structures thus
allowing a large increase in efficiency and throughput for a given
size.
